I sent an email to the head office asking about products and got a reply ( The products you are asking for are themed weekly products in BG ) When i pointed out that the company stocks products in the UK/Ireland for the minority community they responded that is a local manager choice ,so if you wish LIDL to stock something tell you shop manger .who will no doubt ignore your request.

I quite like Lidl - but at times produce is lacking - what were you after TJ Question - My complaint is that they have a really poor stock of red wine boxes... Confused

You would not understand. he is looking for Golden Cow Butter, McErleans Rolls, Vegetable Roll and Nambarrie Tea.

A connoisseur of the fruit of the vino may well be his forte due to choice of Cognac. Shocked

My complaint is that they keep putting up the price of said wine boxes, especially the Menada Mavrud. Luckily they're a couple of leva cheaper in Hit..... Wink Hit also do the ridiculously cheap, despite the relentless few stotinki every couple of month increase, Mount Royal bubbly (gassed-up) which isn't bad for week-day quaffing......although pa-in-law's sparkling rosé is better and naturally sparkling - and free, at least to us - but has a hell of a kick Cool

If goods stocked are a local manager choice, I wonder how come all the ones I've been to have exactly the same stuff - and when one thing vanishes (the excellent Tarragona/Batturica, for example) it vanishes from all the stores.

It's also telling that many of the staff in the UK are foreigners but I've yet to see a non-Bulgarian working in one here.

REALLY. Shocked

Villyman is part Irish and haven't heard any complaints from him about the butter or their cheddar cheese, please explain your complaint other than it being 'Vile Stuff' - is it made under license somewhere else than Ireland? Confused

Whilst I like Lidl some produce is a bit iffy - their teas are relatively weak compared to other brands sold in Billa and Kaufland.
Also this Greek Week - as with other themes - is a lot of oridinary produce wrapped up in Greek wrapping...with a hike in price.
But there are many positive sides - I find their fruit and veg - on the whole - not too bad Tuna is good and well priced -their kitchen cleaners etc W5 - are very good etc etc etc..
