This morning I emailed Praktiker to ask if I ordered certain pellets not stocked in their VT store, would they be delivered to VT and delivery charged from there or would I have to pay delivery from whichever store they came. Below is the whole of their reply, as it is unsigned, it seems it didn't even come from a person. Laughing
Hello,
The store in Veliko Tarnovo is closed for repair.
Have a nice day.

I emailed them back to ask if they know when the store will re-open and whether they could answer my original question for the future. As yet, no other reply.

I know it's not very funny for yourself but it really did make me laugh. Typically Bulgarian. Laughing

Tiarnan, actually I did find it quite funny and as you say, typically Bulgarian.
Even with BG friends and neighbours, I find things come out in little bits and pieces.
I don't know if others find the same.

Well, not having heard from them again, it looks like that is the only response I am going to get. Rolling Eyes

We have learnt over the years that you can only ask one question, certainly via email, it is as though that when they get to the first question (if more than one) they stop reading or possibly you can only be allocated one answer. Have even tried numbering questions in an enquiry to illistrate that there's more than one but to no avail.

I've noticed this tendency in the UK also: you get a quick response to your first enquiry but then they lose interest and don't bother to reply to a follow-up request for more info etc. I guess that they're just swamped with orders and can't handle any more.... Wink

Jake, your post made me laugh because it is so true but not unique to BG.
Like Seedy, I have also noticed it happens in the UK as well and if an 'either or' question is asked they only seem to answer one part of it. I have over the years tried to ask less questions in one go but it still doesn't seem to work. I found a long time ago that in the UK, they want you to just buy something, no questions asked, maybe it's the same here.
Seedy, your last sentence is what Roger used to say in the UK, so I assume it was made tongue in cheek like it was when he said it. Wink

This website https://www.borbabg.com/2017/11/14/практикер-във-в-търново-нараства-с-2/ says that they plan to reopen the VT store in spring and it'll be warming up a bit by then, hopefully, but probably too late for you. On the delivery question, sorry, I can't advise.

The Lyulin store in Sofia is also being revamped and will reopen in March (so the notices outside say).

erehwon, thanks for that, at least it answers one of my questions where they couldn't be bothered. Spring no problem to me. I went into Praktis, asked if they had 2 pallets of pellets, they said yes, so I asked when they could deliver (there I go with questions again Laughing ), they said now, so my friend and I had to dash home ready for the delivery, now that's what I call service.

I've found that to be pretty standard, ZZ - at least here in The Smokeski.... Cool
