Credit where credit is due. I received my first order of some 70+ plants from Mr. Trout today and well impressed with the packing, the plastic spoons labelling the plant names and the Excel file showing me how/where to plant them.

EKONT did an excellent delivery service to my door and hopefully soon, I'll be able to post some pictures of the plants and climbers in full bloom.

Well done Mr. Trout and may your business flourish. You could become the Bulgarian Interflora. Wink

Ps. I'm still wanting some hanging baskets.

Funny you should post this Mr Wolf - I was just about to say that we had a Caprece (sp?) salad tonight with our first crop of basil purchased from Mr Trout. The tomatoes were outdoor grown Turkish and the Mozzarella from Lidl (still carnt find a better one - i love it).

The outstanding star of the show was the Basil - it was like eating perfume! Ive had basil in the UK - home grown. Forget it - crap. Ive had Basil bought alive in a pot in BG and its been good but NOTHING compared to this. I dont know if its the verity, the quality of seed or what but the simple green Basil (we also have the purple and the lemon) was properly stunning!!!

I am now even more jealous of you guys growing your own everything and can see why you do it. If everything tastes 20X as good (as did this Basil) every ounce of sweat is worth it!

That salad photograph in your gallery looks as good as any I have received in an Italian restaurant.

It makes Villyman's wet lettuce and smelly sock cheese offerings in the Bar appear putrid. Wink

Thanks!

Just a pity they were not home grown BG tomatoes!

I would have you know that my offering was a "Ploughmans" for well hard men!!

That plate in the gallery, while maybe "pretty" would not give me the energy to lift the fork to eat it!! Wink
