Well I see Schumi has pulled his finger out after being told off by Ross Brawn - funny how suddenly he tops the times - sadly he's back in 5th. I miss the way he used to 'take out' his rivals..
Button as usual - a thing of the past....shame my money was on him this year. But hopefully with a mix in the top 10 it could be an interesting race - I've decided to opt for Kimi now as I admire his 'couldn't care less who I upset' personality..
"nd favourite would be Rosberg - so we shall see.
VM thought you were manning the barbie today - or like us are you under torrential rain - all weekend and early next week |

you've not been in the bar then Walkage, VM updated there.
I'll go for the French geezer Grosjean (is it?) just to make 6 different winners in 6 races |

As i said at the beginning, I am sticking with McL and the Silver Arrows for this season. Really fed up with Vessel/Vattal/Vat Nonsense and his stupid 1 finger salute. I know where I would stick his finger. When he doesn't win he runs to his motorhome and starts crying to his mammy. |

Film Plus Sport Ch.204 HD 3pm.
At least 3 Plastic bottles of beer or bottle of Rakia + 2ltr Coke + Ice.
Pork Scratchings essential to stop teeth grinding when Vettel overtakes somebody, or peanuts as backup. A big bandage to put over the mouth when McL mess up Hamiltons pit stop (again).
Read up tonight on First Aid so you will know what is going on when they treat someone for "into the barrier syndrome".
It really was more interesting when the Harbour was the run off zone!! Throw them an old inflated inner tube and drag the car out later, those were the days.
I don't think Chicco will stay at the back very long and it will be interesting to see how many he takes out on his way up the field.
Shumi will be chomping at the bit knowing he is fast and very familiar with the circuit. Worth watching him.
Webber is the Dark Horse in the mix and could just run away from the pack at the beginning. Pit stops I think will decide the winner if it is not Webber.
Please Rain!!, a couple of safety cars for 1 to 2 laps to close them up and the afternoons entertainment is made.
I love this race. |

Well that is sort of taken as granted, providing that it doesn't stop the race for ages. I just keep drinking and then fall asleep and miss the end |

Well done Webber, for winning what must go down in history as one of the most boring races in F1 History.
I knew from the beginning that putting Chicco Perez at the back was going to cause problems especially at this track. When oh when are the powers that be, going to realise that punishing a fast driver by putting him at the back of a slow pack is going to cause grief. Did it? Yes, twice. Better to deduct points after the race or fine them, they are all loaded anyway, but it's like putting a BMW driver behind a Reliant Robin on a single track road and telling him to behave himself!! some chance.
Shumi, well what can you say. Pole position taken away because of another "Stupid Rule". A glimmer of excitement during what was a merry-go-round race, was that Shumi might actually overtake somebody, well at least he tried, which was more than most did.
Then he had a pit stop, came out, sat back in his armchair, lit his pipe and relaxed and waited for the car to breakdown. OK it was most likely due to the start collision with Grosjean, but it is just another problem he has to deal with (still under investigation).
Button didn't seem to be going anywhere until after the pit-stop and then came out behind Heikki Kovalainen who proceeded to look like a moving obstacle on an assault course, eventually causing Button, no doubt through frustration to spin out.
A bit of team orders? Vettel held out as long as possible on the track for his last stop, to allow Webber to hold up the pack and get him in front, that is unthinkable. It didn't work anyway so Sebi didn't get on the Podium (AGAIN ) and was heard crying again in his motorhome.
I really do miss the old days when cars went side by side out of the tunnel and after the tunnel chicane (Mansell/Prost/Senna)
Also, what has happened to the TV coverage. When the race got boring they used to scan the rooftops and yachts and give us a climpse of how the other half live and the totty in bikinis. One camera managed to pan too far and caught José Antonio Domínguez Banderas knocking back a large whiskey (womens hearts double beated). He will most likely sue F1 for breach of privacy and tickets will go up by 10%.
All in a SH** race.
p.s. Did anybody notice that Webber took the trophy from Prince Albert and went away but Rosberg took his trophy shook hands and then gave Alberts Missus two smackers, one on each cheek. Cheeky B******. Must think his luck is in. Well Albert isn't exactly a sixpack kind a guy!!

I agree - boring.. Wasn't Perez at the back as he never qualified Not sure what they can do about that - but spoilt his race.
Pleased Rosberg got on the podium - enjoyed watching Keke race and yes I also miss the old side by side action etc - nowadays it's all too 'mumified'.
However let's hope the next one is better..
I must congratulate VM on his post -- as if he had consumed the amount of alcohol he said he would - such an eloquent and lengthy post was truly praiseworthy.. . Have a drink to celebrate.. |

VM - who's a Happy Chappy then this morning Mediocre for me as I was hoping Button would improve --- time to swap him with Di Resta.
Good for Lotus and Williams as it keeps things interesting if other teams snatch points from the big boys..
Have a drink on me.. |
