Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to find a smallish corn/wheat grinder so I can produce my own chicken food etc ?

So far the only ones I have located are monsters that well exceed my requirements!

Many thanks.

I was stuck on that one a while ago too but when asking my local garden tools repair/spares shop man, he looked on the internet, showed me one I liked and ordered it, refusing to take payment until it arrived at the shop. It was about 170 leva and ran on normal electricity, not three phase. He wouldn't take anything for doing it. Bravo Bulgaria!

Any further info would be useful, make? website? etc.

Found one on the links Seedy has put on around the same price so was wondering if it matched yours.

Thanks for the links Seedy appreciated.

All I can tell you is that it was Bulgarian and that's it. Memory of a gnat...... After the chickens died off / were ate we decided not to bother any more as the dogs couldn't be bothered to wait until we cook them. So I sold it on..... Besides at that price you'll be fine. Mine milled the maize easily enough, it was a pleasant Sunday morning job.

I'm slightly confused here, Tony: are you saying that the dogs were eating the chickens prior to them being cooked and offered to them, or that the dogs scarpered when they saw your Korean cookery books? The public is entitled to know! Wink

Laughing Laughing Laughing

The dachshunds were killing the chickens are eating them regardless of my plans. The chickens are stupid enough to escape and the dogs don't mind raw meat. And if they didn't then the dogs would dig...
We don't mind sharing the chickens as there's plenty of meat but I guess they were impatient. And when we moved we gave the survivors away to another expat in the village.
And how did you know about my Korean cooking?

I keep them hidden to avoid upsetting the sausage gang....

Many thanks Seedy and tonytg806. After touring all the local shops and agricultural stores to no avail we have finally sorted one today. It will arrive tomorrow via someone on OLX, good service as they even rang to check my requirements before offering us a different model to the one we ordered so saving us some cash in the process.

Thanks again.
