Thanks, will give it a try. I actually reviewed Accuweather the other day as I was somewhat tired of reading their forecast that showed my location to be under constant cloud for 3 days when all I could see was a beautiful blue sky. Now, I had set both my location by GPS and village name so no excuse there.

I then went a looking via Google Play and found a weather site I had used on a previous smartphone called Sinoptik.bg Okay, it is all in Bulgarian language, only allowed me to choose Yambol or Burgas as my nearest cities, but was really accurate by comparison to Accuweather.

We always use sinoptik as, compared with other online forecasters, it's the most accurate for our area. However neither of us own smartphones and certainly on the version we get on our laptops there is an EN button, top right hand corner by the C/F option.

We have it set for the nearest town which is not only 20 km away but at a completely different altitude and climatic inclination. We have learnt over the years to interpret the sinoptik forecast in a way which fits in with our true location - i.e. we are nearly always 2-3 degrees colder etc, wind speeds can vary etc, but we know how all the variants work now.

Me. ? I just look out the window. If our trees are swaying I know it,s windy. If I can,t see the grass I know it has snowed. If I open a door I,ll know almost immediately what I should be wearing. Really I no longer care what happens with the weather. We are prepared for good or bad weather. We were obsessed enough about weather in Ireland.......the main topic of conversation.......here we just go with the flow. Wink

Didn't find any 'EN' button on the mobile version and not bragging, but I don't need it, in fact, I learned some new words even if I had to ask the Linguist indoors for the correct pronunciation. Rolling Eyes Wink Laughing

I agree with most of that, but I really need to know what is coming tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and hence, require the best weather forecast available.

Hi pickle, it was me who started this topic a couple of months ago because one forecast said snow and another said mostly cloudy, quite a difference.
I'm in the VT area, there was a little snow overnight. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow all day.
Can't speak for other areas of course. This weather is very late for this area, one February my late partner was out there sunbathing.
I've seen there is supposed to be a cold blast coming to the UK but I think it depends where you are as to whether you actually get snow. The UK media always make a big thing of it.

-6 and snowing "nicely" up here - you won't be surprised to hear that we still haven't turned the heating on though... Wink

To be honest, I don't know whether or not you are super insulated, have natural heat emanating from some volcanic rock under your house OR, you're Scrooge.

I live in a very small so called 'eco house' built from YTONG as thick as a poor man's castle and yet, the temperature stays around 15 degrees C indoor without the petchka burning, but will fall much lower if there is nobody at home. I like the comforting effect of my wood burning stove and will happily light it as more of a central feature and comfort factor than a necessity, but each to their own.

'It' is also useful for drying my laundry on days like today when suspending such outside on the clothesline would result in some kind of frozen chainmail. Rolling Eyes

According to the forecast there is snow in Burgas too.
Over reaction in the UK, whatever gives you that idea? Laughing
Apparently, they are even going to discuss it on the programme called This Morning, for goodness sake.

This morning a carpet of snow greeted me . About 4cm.
Very white & crisp. No polar bears sighted as yet.

Same here Jake. Loads of the horrible white stuff. Forecast absolutely correct.
I asked a BG friend this morning if the schools are closed, the answer was no, her boys are at school. A little while later I read hundreds of schools closed in the UK with much less snow, unbelievable. Rolling Eyes
