Need to head back to Ireland next week....at short notice. Checked my usual carrier.....Wizzair to Luton.......then Easyjet on to Belfast. Never even checked the Easyjet price to Belfast as the Wizzair flight was over 500 lev.......single. I know it,s short notice but I,ve never saw a flight that price. Also checked Ryanair out of Sofia into Dublin....Euro 250......again way over what I have been paying. It,s September.....not the height of Summer........during which I got return flights for a hell of a lot less than these prices. Crazy.

Looks like the next cheap ones start around the 4th October. Who knows what the "logic" is around the pricing....

Families/Holidaymakers returning at end of summer, lots take later breaks whilst the weather is still hot but not scorching. Supply and demand and all that.

I gather that prices from Bucherest are much cheaper. This is just gossip from a neighbor but may be worth a look. Cheap airport long term parking too I gather.
