I saw the post from Anna but because the link was messed up, I didn't realise it was about Bob the cat. I saw about this some time ago on TV.
A lot of people think cats can't be trained, totally untrue as I know from experience.

I think you've got it completely wrong, ZZ: all cats know that people can be trained - it just takes patience and an acceptance that the person who thinks he "owns" you simply isn't as smart as he/she thinks.... Wink

Seedy, that is what most people think and normally I would have said you are correct but when I had cats here, my neighbours were amazed the cats did what I said and one used to follow me like a dog, the other loved going in the car, unlike the dogs.
Oddly enough, having trained dogs since I was a child, the two dogs I found most difficult to train are the ones I had here. The male dog that died just did his own thing, no matter what I or anyone else said. The female I still have, it seems to depend how she feels at the time. Rolling Eyes Laughing

A case in point, ZZ: you were brain-washed by the cat to walk in front of it to protect it from dogs etc while assuming that the cat was following you....rather like the man with the red flag in front of early cars or the servants preceding the Sultan to clear a path through the riff-raff! Wink

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
I found that very amusing but the cat was definitely the boss over the dogs.

Given the thread title, I thought I would post this here, as it is quite pertinent to Bg and its current problems of an ageing population in decline. However, it may remind some Bulgarian ladies of their more pleasurable moments in life!

I don't know what level of academic rigour or peer review was applied to the original study, but 1989 was a critical year for Bg, because it effectively lost interest in sex and sent the country's birth rate on the downslide!
