With EU regulations on polution are there any plans to pipe gas into villages to stop people burning logs?

I'm certain there will be longer term residents along in a while with more detailed knowledge of Bg energy affairs, but in all honesty I cannot see any infrastructure for piped gas being affordable outside of major towns and cities.

Even then the market would have to expand considerably to be worth any major investment, and that's remote at this time. The Bulgarians were keen on the Gazprom South Stream project until the EU blew it out of the water in 2014, because of bidding irregularities, so piped gas investment is even more unlikely, especially in the medium term.

Bg is already a net exporter of electricity, but in respect of rural zone, most villages have peripheral woodland owned by villagers, which offers a degree of self sufficiency for winter wood supplies. The cost of electric, whilst rising is more sustainable with significant expansion of solar energy farms in recent years and Bg already exceeds the EU renewable energy targets by a considerable margin.

Actually wood burning is relatively carbon neutral in Bg, and there is considerable replanting, whilst the majority of wood burning is restricted to about 5 months of the year. By 2050 Bg will have a population of less than 5.5M down from circa 6.95M now, so the energy market is in the decline, and so is air pollution from wood burning!
Heterogenous ideas are yoked by violence together - the language of the metaphysical conceit.

I live in one of the closest villages to a town. According to a BG friend, our Mayor has told him we may be getting gas. I can't see it being any time soon, if it happens at all.
I have no idea how much gas is here but Bulgarians have told me it is very expensive, even though they have no experience of using it.
Personally, I would love to have piped gas, I just can't see it happening but if does, it would probably be too late for me.
