Surely you should be insisting on delivering the dog so you can ensure he is going to a suitable home (more so with a guarding breed), rather than asking for cost of fuel?

I would have thought, that is up to them.

Of course it is up to them, but there's no harm in a reminder that not everyone who takes in a free dog does so out of the goodness of their heart.

I've tried to stay out of this, but am drawn into a reply. If the GSD has pedigree then, it will sell here for at least 200-500Lv.

Usually Foreigners want their unwanted dogs to be taken by other foreigners because we're supposed to look after them better than our Bulgarian neighbours, but this may well be true when talking about strays, crossbreeds etc., but for Pedigree dogs, they usually take as much if not better care than most.

It is a crying shame that the way this advert has been handled, ''contact immediately'', hardly gives me faith in the current owners concerns about the dog as no home checks, no references required, just a quick get rid.

Hopefully, someone with the time and inclination will take this dog as usually, they're a fantastic breed, but it obviously needs some bad traits sorting and it doesn't rectify itself on its own.

Anyway, posts like this one are frowned upon by MOD as we're not supposed to comment unless we want to buy, but I just couldn't hold back. Sorry.
